Information

Kimolos has an area of 36km2 and has approximately 800 permanent residents, most of whom live in Chora. It is a Cycladic island, with many bays, rocky coasts, islets and sea caves.

Its highest point is Mount Paleokastro.

Although Kimolos is a small island, it has no reason to be jealous of the other larger island in the Cyclades as it has a Citizens' Advice Center (KEP), a community clinic with 2 doctors and an ambulance, a pharmacy, a helipad, a police station, a post office (ELTA), cash machines (ΑΤΜ), a bus service, taxis, sea taxis, a gas station and shops where you can find all sorts of things to buy.

You can reach Kimolos either by boat – by conventional or high speed ferries from Piraeus port in 8 and 4,5 hours respectively, or by airplane (30-minute flight) via the neighboring island of Milos and then by boat to Kimolos which is connected to Apollonia in Milos with daily and frequent itineraries.
